Visiting Places

Kangla:
The historical place where once the royal families and rulers of Manipur(Kangleipak) used to live, is within a very short distance from the school. This historical place is considered to be one most holiest place in the state by the local people.
Keibul Lamjao National park:
Cervus eldii. Eld�s deer. Thamin deer. Brow-antlered deer. Sangai. Dancing deer. A whole lot of names for a single species, but that�s how it is for this unusual deer, a graceful animal which is found only in one state of India- Manipur. A highly endangered species, the brow-antlered deer is found exclusively in a small area which stretches across the extreme north-eastern corner of India; Myanmar and part of Thailand. In India, the place to see this beautiful creature is the Keibul Lamjao National Park. Keibul Lamjao is famous not just because of the brow-antlered deer; its other claim to fame is the fact that this is one of the very few `floating� protected areas in the world.Approximately 50 km from the state capital, Imphal, Keibul Lamjao lies on an island on the fringes of the Loktak Lake.
Loktak lake & Sendra:
Loktak Lake is a largest fresh water lake in the North-Eastern region located 48km from Imphal. Loktak Lake is a huge and beautiful stretch of water spread upto 312 sq. km area and looks like a miniature island sea. The place is considered to be one of the finest place for study tours and picnic as there are lot of historical things around it. Most of the people around the lake depend their livelihood on Loktak lake. In short we can consider Loktak lake as source of living and pride of Manipur.
Manipur University:
The highest institution in the state, Manipur University, one of the central University in the country, is also in a very short distance from the Vidyalaya. Its about only 6-7 kms from the Vidyalaya. There is also a small museum inside the university campus where various precious things are kept.
Leimaram:
This place is famous for its water falls located at Bishnupur district. The place is discovered recently.The place is also within a short distance from the Vidyalaya. The beautiful greeny mountains make the scenery more attractive and beautiful. People visit the place during winter season, specially during October to March.
Siroy Hill (Ukhrul):
83 kms. to the east of Imphal, this District Headquarter of Manipur East is the highest hill station of the State. A centre of the colourful warrior tribe Tangkhul Nagas, it is well developed and famous for a peculiar type of land-lily, the Siroi, grown on the Siroi hills. Siroi hills and Khangkhui Lime Caves are interesting places for excursions. Ukhrul bears a gay and festive appearance during Christmas.
Khuman Lampak:
The place is famous for its sports comlpex. It is located within the Imphal city and also in a walkable distance from the Vidyalaya. The Main stadium has a capacity of 20,000 with a 2,500 VIP enclosure, and fibre-glass seats. This stadium occupies the pride of place among all others as it was the venue for the grand openning & closing ceremonies of the 5th National Games 1999 held in Manipur.
RKCS Gallery:
The gallery is located within the Imphal city and from a very short distance from the Vidyalaya.
Khonghampat Orchidarium:
7 Kms from Imphal on Highway No.39 is the central Orchidarium which covers 200 acres and houses over 110 rare varieties of orchids, which include almost a dozen endemic species. The peak blooming season is March - April.
